Talde and KCE enter AJL OPHTALMIC ‘s shareholding structure with a view to boost its growth plan

  • It is the only Spanish company dedicated to the manufacture of intraocular implants for ophthalmology, with a commercial presence in more than 70 countries, and production facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, in the Miñano Technology Park (Alava) and in Chicago (USA).
  • The founder and chief executive, who continues to be a shareholder of the company, will continue leading the management of the new growth and development phase.

Talde Promoción y Desarrollo SCR, S.A. and Kaizaharra Corporación Empresarial (KCE) have entered AJL OPHTALMIC`, S.A.’s shareholding structure, a basque company based in Alava, dedicated to the design, manufacture and distribution of a wide range of sanitary products, mainly for the specialty of ophthalmology. This new phase, Talde and KCE aims at consolidating the company's position in the ophthalmology sector in the different subspecialties in which it operates, both nationally and internationally, as well as to promote its development in related surgical areas. The founder and CEO of the company will continue as manager and as shareholder.

Since its creation, AJL Ophthalmic's activity has been determined by the innovation and the constant development of new intraocular implants and other ophthalmologic products to be applied in intraocular surgery. For that purpose, it has a department for the research, development and innovation of new products, in permanent collaboration with prestigious ophthalmologists, universities and technological centers, which enables it to tackle new challenges and to improve its scientific-technical level.

With a commercial presence in more than 70 countries,  it is the only Spanish company dedicated to the manufacture of intraocular implants for ophthalmology with production facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, in the Miñano Technology Park (Alava) and in Chicago (USA).
