Talde becomes majority shareholder of Grupo Dilus

  • Grupo Dilus is a leading Spanish engineering and systems integration platform specialising in environmental monitoring solutions
  • The founding family will retain a significant stake in the company and continue to lead the business

Grupo Dilus, a leading Spanish engineering and systems integration platform specialising in environmental monitoring solutions, has welcomed Talde as its new majority shareholder.

Talde’s investment in Grupo Dilus will support the company’s next phase of growth, with a focus on accelerating both organic and inorganic expansion, while further strengthening its investment in innovation, digitalisation and the development of new solutions and services.

The transaction marks the first investment by Talde Capital Crecimiento III, Talde’s latest private equity fund, which is targeting €200 million. The fund held its first close in July, securing more than €155 million in commitments.

Eduardo de Ugarte, a member of the founding family and shareholder of Grupo Dilus, will remain as CEO and will lead the company through its next phase of growth alongside Talde.

With 40 years of experience and a team of 70 professionals, Grupo Dilus provides end-to-end solutions for environmental monitoring, covering the design, integration and installation of systems, as well as ongoing maintenance, technical support and calibration services.

The company has built a strong market position across a range of sectors, including meteorology, renewable energy, air quality and emissions, water, oceanography and radioactivity, among others. International markets account for a significant share of its activity, and the company expects to further expand its international footprint in the coming years.

“Grupo Dilus’ deep sector expertise, strong market position and high-quality management team were key factors in our decision to invest in the company. We see significant potential for Grupo Dilus to build on its strong foundations and continue its growth trajectory,” said Idoia Bengoa, Managing Partner at Talde.

“Bringing Talde on board as a shareholder is a natural next step in Grupo Dilus’ evolution. We share a long-term vision, and Talde’s experience in supporting companies through different stages of growth will allow us to accelerate our development, both organically and through acquisitions, while further strengthening our position in the market,” said Eduardo de Ugarte, CEO of Grupo Dilus.

The shareholders of Grupo Dilus were advised by Arcano Partners on financial matters and Chevez on legal matters. KPMG carried out financial and commercial due diligence on behalf of Talde, while Garrigues provided legal advice.

Talde continues its growth trajectory

With more than €630 million in assets under management, Talde currently has a portfolio of more than 20 companies. Over the past five decades, the firm has invested in more than 170 companies and projects, supporting businesses in value creation across different stages of consolidation, expansion and growth.

Talde is currently focused on further strengthening and expanding its position as an alternative investment manager. The firm continues to benefit from the support of its long-standing investor base, including Kutxabank as an anchor investor, alongside growing interest from institutional investors, family offices and individual investors in its latest funds.
