Talde Private Equity, the main shareholder of Biopolis through its vehicle Talde Promotion and Development, SCR, with an accumulated experience of 40 years in the Spanish private equity market, has sold the entirety of its stake to the North American multinational group ADM. The other strategic partners of Biopolis, CAPSA (Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta) and Naturex, have also joined this operation, which has allowed ADM to take control of the company with a 90% interest. The Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), which gave rise to Biopolis as a spin-off, maintains its minority stake in the company.

BIOPOLIS, S.L. is an innovative company offering RDI products and services with high added value. The company has been consolidating itself as a benchmark in the Spanish biotechnology industry with a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified personnel with proven experience in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, fermentation process scaling, genetics, chemical engineering, microbiology, nutrition, and technology food.

Biopolis is a success story for both the Spanish scientific industry, thanks to its ability to create projects of true innovation and added value, and its shareholders.

Montalban Atlas Capital and Cuatrecasas have acted as financial and legal advisors in the transaction for the sellers.
